NETWORK Engineer LAN WAN

• You have strong Network engineering and project delivery experience

• You have an Excellent operating knowledge of common LAN and WAN technologies, demonstrable experience supporting complex layer 2 and 3 topologies in data center environments.

• You have advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols; IPv4, OSPF, MP-BGP, MPLS

• You have strong experience with Multicast: PIM, RP, MSDP, IGMP and MDT

• You have Minimum three-years experience as a network administrator in a multi-location Cisco-oriented LAN and WAN environment. • Cisco - SD-WAN (formally Viptella) - practical experience with design and some aspects of implementation using Cisco SD-WAN

• You have an excellent operating knowledge of Cisco IOS/NXOS command line interface. Cisco certification as an asset.

• You have an expert knowledge of network monitoring PCAP decoding tools landscape (Corvil, SFlow, timestamping (PTP)

• You have scripting and automation experience (Python preferred)

• Operational familiarity with DNS technology, specifically: Infoblox.

• Excellent written and spoken English communication

• Proactively identify potential problems and improvements that can be made within LAN and WAN environments.

• Work with vendors where required to provide effective incident resolution.

• Architect wide area and ultra low latency networks, Participate in the design of scalable and secure networking solutions for the enterprise.

• Technically support projects from initial conception through implementation, offering assistance and recommendations where required. • Maintain detailed network documentation

. • Play a key role in the design and implementation of tools and process to proactively monitor network availability, performance, and security.

• Work with vendors and purchasers to procure network products and services.

• Research new network technology and advancements to provide recommendations for ongoing improvement to the enterprise.

Horario

* L-V: 9-18
* summer L-V 8-15
* Must be available to work outside of office hours and weekends.
* Participation in an on-call rota will be required. Act as a key resource for the troubleshooting of any network-related problems that may arise.
