The Production Manager will have the following responsibilities:
• Manage the production process of QKD systems from inception and assembly to final product delivery.
• Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and workflows to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of components and materials into the production process.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials required for production.
• Lead the assembly and testing of QKD systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and production delays.
• Train and mentor production team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
• Ensure that the products meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and process optimization.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and advancements in QKD systems to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

The Production Manager will meet the following requirements:
• Bachelor´s degree in Telecommunications, Electronic Telecommunications, or related field. A master´s degree is a plus.
• At least 3 years´ experience in production environment as a production lead or in a similar manufacturing leadership role.
• Proven experience of electronic hardware assembly and manufacturing.
• Knowledge in quantum technology and familiarity with Quantum Key Distribution systems is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, assembly techniques, and quality control principles.
• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


A start-up company focused on secure quantum cryptography technologies for communication infrastructures is looking for a skilled and experienced Production Manager to implement, manage and oversee the production process. Reporting directly to the CTO as Production Manager, he/she will be responsible for managing the manufacturing and assembly of QKD systems, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high-quality standards.
