Senior full-stack developer

Stargazr is an enterprise planning startup that brings together developers and financial analysts to create the future of finance by combining machine learning and analytic models. As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you will foster the development of new features in a SaaS solution that will transform the way businesses are steered for decades to come and lead other developers with this goal. We cultivate a natural environment in which self-motivated individuals thrive.

👽 Job role

Although most of the heavy lifting of our application is done by the data processing tools in the back-end, we are looking for a person with expertise in front-end frameworks and Flask APIs that can deliver high-quality code and help others do the same.

You typical work week will be split as:

• 40% delivering front-end and API code for the app.
• 20% solving technical challenges from less experienced developers.
• 10% reviewing other developers code to help with maintenability, readability and security.
• 10% writing tests to ensure an appropriate code coverage.
• 5% one-off configuration tasks (you know, there are always some of those).
• 5% coordination and meetings.

Our back-end consists of multiple data processing technologies that we interact with through Python. The API is exposed through a MariaDB+Flask app, and we write all the customer connectors using Pandas. On the front-end side, the API is consumed by a Vue 3 application.

📜 Requirements

To apply for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of CS experience in full-stack development.
• Solid knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Vue or React.
• Solid knowledge of Python and design best practices.
• Proficient with high-quality responsive CSS.
• Ability to communicate with the engineering team in English.
• Live in a country with timezone GMT-1, GMT, GMT+1 or GMT+2 (note that if the country is not Spain or Germany we can only offer a freelancer contract through Deel).

Experience in any of these fields will be considered a plus:

• Skills in *nix (especially Debian) environments and AWS.
• Experience with information extraction tools (mainly Pandas and Selenium).
• Great analytical and mathematical skills.
