Senior blockchain and software engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Blockchain and Software Engineer to join our team at BITX. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the product and software development of our cryptocurrency exchange platform, with a focus on Web3 implementations, data architecture, and IT infrastructure. The Senior Engineer will work closely with the project manager and the Strategy Board to build a bridge between product development, platform development, and strategic vision. As a Senior Blockchain and Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our blockchain infrastructure, IT infrastructure, and data architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
● Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the platform´s Web3 implementations, data architecture, and IT infrastructure, including cloud services, networks, and servers.
● Collaborate with BITX’s Strategy Board to translate the platform´s vision and objectives into technical requirements and solutions. Contribute to the development and execution of the platform´s long-term technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic vision.
● Oversee BITX’s technical design, along with the development and implementation of the platform´s software architecture, ensuring a seamless integration with Web3 (blockchain) technologies.
● Developing and maintaining smart contracts, ensuring security and scalability.
● Lead the set-up and optimization of blockchain nodes and network infrastructure.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative blockchain solutions and products.
● Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
● Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in the blockchain and software engineering fields, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Key Qualifications:
● Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master´s degree is a plus.
● Proven experience (min. 5 years) in blockchain development, including smart contract development and node management, with a strong understanding of cryptocurrency exchanges, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (dapps).
● Extensive experience with Web3 technologies, including Ethereum, Solidity, and other relevant tools and frameworks.
● Solid experience in IT infrastructure and network management, including cloud services and security; strong knowledge of data architecture, database design.
● Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team of engineers.
● Start-up experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
● 5-10 years expertise in software engineering, including proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or C++.
● Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
● International background and fluency in English
