We have an exciting opportunity to join a Paris based startup working on the future industry standard for touchless building access control solutions. Our innovative solution, based on leading edge technologies, will allow you to gain experience with IoT, highly scalable Cloud Platforms, complex integrations via API and latest generation apps with carefully crafted UI/UX.

OSKEY automates the process of securing residential building access and has several unique core features which are attracting enormous interest from within the industry. This has resulted in closing our latest round of funding which allows us to now ramp development and you will hold a key position in our engineering team as we move out of the MVP stages.

Responsibilities

On a regular day, you will be writing the serverless services running on Google Cloud Functions and Google Cloud Run. These services integrate with various other Google Cloud products such as Firebase Authentication (with Identity Platform), Google Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage and Pub/Sub.

The cloud infrastructure used heavily relies on asynchronous event driven business logic, and you will participate in the continuous improvement of this design approach. You will be involved in various stages of the project, from the requirement analysis to its delivery and production.

You will also be involved in contributing to improving features and the overall design of the company´s Platform.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Senior Typescript Cloud Backend Developer who can hit the ground running

You are passionate about writing simple, clean, and efficient code and are a strong team player and communicator

You are comfortable mentoring other colleagues and enjoy seeing them grow and learn from your knowledge.

Qualifications:-
University Degree level education, preferably in computer sciences or similar area
5+ years experience as senior Javascript / Typescript engineer, with at least 2 - 4 years on coding public cloud serverless platform and Node/Express typescript service containerized with Docker
4+ years experience on RESTful API, client and/or server side
4+ years experience in NoSQL databases
Strong knowledge of integrating various cloud services on GCP, AWS or Azure
A good understanding of CI/CD and containerization using Docker
Troubleshooting experience.

It would be a plus to have:
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (Firebase, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Service Account, ...)
- Experience integrating IoT device fleet with cloud platform (on topics like device management, device provisioning, device configuration, data collection, ...)
- Understanding of cloud horizontal/vertical scalability

What we offer:

100% Remote, with occasional ( 6 to 8 weeks ) you may be required to travel to Paris, Spain or other EU country for workshops or planning meetings.

The role is a Freelance role, 6 month rolling contract so you MUST be able to work as a freelancer, For example you are an autonoma or registered independant worker in your country and invoice the business.
